Coldness’ waves brought the small sound of the forgotten ships of our hearts; their sails were made of drops that disappear behind the gentle sun. With the steam, each word of the wind was transformed into a delicate manner of touch the time. In the last moment, everything disappeared with the sound of a girl whose eyes were made of red leaves.
It seems that autumn doesn’t have an end but the heart still wants to pick up some memories of winter.
In this episode those desires get certain form but ephemerally and with some nostalgia.

Sometimes making the podcast I pay specially attention to the rhythms and so, but in days like today, when the streets are windy and I’m overcome by the perfection of Fennesz the only thing that matters seems to be the emotion, the delicacy of the notes, the way they evoke the gentles gestures.
Today’s program has a small lack of order but it’s just a method of acting. Enjoy it.

The cold was benevolent and the chilly atmosphere makes me feel better. It seems that to my heart, and to my lungs, the best cure is an empty boulevard and the tender breeze of late hours. The solitude of two persons sitting in a hospital’s bench is a nice image to portrait my days. A kind solitude filled with words of future.
While traveling across empty Paris in the backset I remembered a lot of songs, a lot of books. It was like painting pictures in the streetlights; recreating old days to forget the pain and the fear.
At the end I get better because of the night but I wasn’t able to make the program on time.
After the dread, here’s the new episode, two days later and still cuffing, but ready to be listened.

Waiting for a miracle is a profession without profit. You can linger for ages for that amazing moment that will change you common days, that will repair you eyes. You can wait in silence a life, just looking at the way, waiting for that car to stop. And you know, deep in your heart, that there’s everything but a car. However, when you are tired, when the options of success are worst than zero. Then, behind the night, appears the miracle that you were longing for, and it’s exactly as you have expected: simple and natural. You smile; you, perhaps, say some ridicule words and everything begins to have sense. This miracle is not other but a hand combing you hair. The same thing happens with songs; they emerge to catch your heart in certain moments without reason, without logic. They give you breath.
With this episode Arroz Amargo gets two years. It has been a long and beautiful road and to celebrate it next Sunday I’ll chose one song of each episode and make a sort of special show. Making this podcast has been amazing, to select the songs, to try to give them a sense is just beautiful. I have to thank you everyone who listen, you are great.

<itunes:summary>Waiting for a miracle is a profession without profit.

The sun has gone but we have the rain. Each morning the clouds that preside over the horizon bring a beautiful rain that produce a mood of peace that freezes the thoughts. The slender rain touches the hands as if it were trying to stay in the skin forever. It works as the memory; it hits you hastily and it stays there for a while but, as the time goes by, it disappears in streets and shops. It wouldn’t stay in your face or in your clothes; it’s like that smile in the subway or the gentle half-kissed in the pub: brief.
The rain makes me keep in mind that the hands were someday together but nothing remains the same but for a second. As these songs; they could mean a lot in the morning but in the afternoon they will be just sounds but a least for a moment they will be a kind of word.

And suddenly, running across the alley, a song arrives. It has been a good time since I captured it the middle of the day with some fingers across my hair, with the warm of a kiss in the mouth -they were big hands closing my eyes. The tune makes me see the growing grass in the field and some words drop in the shade.
And I just think it will be better to remember you with melodies, I don’t like the illogical drama of nostalgia; I prefer taking words with me to create an airplane and fly each gloomy day. I really will miss the streets of my city but the passers by of my house come with me in songs. This episode, the first recorded in Lille, is for those of you who were there –in the midnight haze, in the sunny shade, in the boring classroom- each song is a piece of memory. (There’s a silence in the podcast but it’s not a mistake)
